Showcasing Research Excellence at Eagle-X Event

The Uduebor Lab was well represented at the Eagle-X event hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University. Three of our talented researchers — Eric Anderson, Colton Boswell, and Maxwell Pettit—presented their findings to a diverse and engaged audience.

The research topics presented include:

“Water Repellent Soils: A Barrier Against Sewage Runoff” by Eric Anderson focused on developing soil treatments that prevent sewage runoff, an increasingly crucial area as urban areas continue to expand.

“Improving Longevity of Unpaved Roads” by Colton Boswell offered insights into cost-effective techniques to enhance the durability of unpaved roads, crucial for rural infrastructure.

“Engineered Water Repellency for Scour Mitigation” by Maxwell Pettit explored methods to protect foundational structures like bridges and piers from water damage.

The presentations were well-received, drawing interest from a wide range of attendees including faculty members, professional engineers, and various guests. Even Dr. Asyegul Timur, President of FGCU, attended, highlighting the importance and recognition of the innovative work being done at our lab.
